Account Manager

We are currently seeking an energetic individual looking to take on the position of Account Manager.

Reporting to the Vice President, Sales, the Account Manager is responsible for increasing the Company’s revenue by acquiring, expanding and maintaining sales accounts from new and existing customers in Southwestern Ontario, as well as Barrie, Collingwood and Bradford. The Account Manager will identify, qualify, and close accounts seeking the Company’s products and services. The Account Manager will work with sales channels to raise awareness of the Company’s offerings and initiate new business ventures in order to increase market share and meet fiscal goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and solicit existing and new customer relationships.

  • Single-point-of-contact for key accounts; manage the builder site agreement process and maintain the customer database.

  • Develop and maintain relationships within assigned accounts; improve client utilization and product/service adoption rates.

  • Collaborate with customer contacts, up to and including the Executive Team, in order to define needs and provide solutions.

  • Identify and target new business sales opportunities that close quickly for the highest revenue.

  • Promote and maintain the Company’s brand image within the marketplace.

  • Provide input and assist in the development of presentations and other marketing initiatives.

  • Create and conduct in-depth sales presentations.

  • Identify and resolve risks associated with the delivery and/or provision of customer contracts; manage client expectations throughout the contract.

  • Pursue contract renewals.

  • Ensure overall client satisfaction.

  • Conduct and develop quarterly and annual account reviews in order to effectively manage account lifecycles.

  • Analyze, assess, and document client results to ensure customer needs are being met.

  • Any and all other duties as assigned to meet Company objectives.

Skills and Abilities

  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with departments, business units and other stakeholders.

  • Experience selling multiple product/service lines.

  • Strong consultative skills.

  • Able to assess client needs, develop proposals and deliver solutions.

  • Excellent negotiation and diplomacy skills, with a high degree of tact and persuasiveness.

  • Ability to write clear and concise value proposition statements.

  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.

  • Ability to create and edit sales materials and presentations.

  • Ability to coordinate, organize and present product demonstrations and other events.

  • High level of proficiency with Navision and software packages.

  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

  • Able to work in a team environment and in a high stress, fast paced environment.

  • Education: Post-secondary diploma or degree an asset.

  • Experience: 3 - 5 years’ experience in relationship development in both hi-rise and low-rise construction with established relationships.
